Craig: Ministry Partnerships Director

Craig and Tina love how Fort provides a space and unhurried time for people to be themselves, have fun, share life with others, and get to know Jesus right where they are. The couple met in the parking lot at Fort in 1996, the same year Craig began on missionary staff. Tina first came to Fort in 1995 as a single mom and loved how the Fort staff got to know her personally. The pair has eight children, one grandson, and a granddaughter soon.

Fast Facts

Craig loves sports and the outdoors. Tina met Christ through friends and Elmbrook Church; she enjoys connecting with campers at the beach and serving throughout camp.

Fort Firsts

Tina experienced a welcoming community, to feel part of a family. Craig experienced falling in love here – that was a first! On a lighter note, Craig caught two muskies in one night!

What passage of scripture is meaningful to your family? Hebrews 11:6, And without faith it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

What is your favorite Fort memory? Anytime a camper has an AHA moment with Jesus is a favorite Fort memory. God is always knocking, and when campers open the door, something eternal happens.

If you were a kitchen utensil, what would you be and why? A wrangler’s breakfast, extra-large spatula. Greasy bacon, beautiful browns, and corny jokes fall off Craig all the time. Often much to Tina’s dismay.

Sending Church: The Holmquists are sent missionaries with connections to three churches. Meadowbrook Church in Wauwatosa, WI where Craig started attending in 1992. Elmbrook Church in Brookfield, WI where Tina started attending in 1995. Faith EFC in Minocqua, WI where they have been attending since 1996.
