A distinct shift in the seasons has taken place here at camp this past week. Temperatures are rising, birdsong echoes once again among the pines, and the ice on Spider Lake has finally given way to the glassy water below.
It didn’t take the Fort staff long to trade our offices for long-awaited sunshine. Picnic tables became offices, laptops made their way to the beach, and meetings traded Zoom screens for hiking trails. After a long Northwoods winter… finally – spring is here!
