Can’t get enough camp? Here is a two-week opportunity for those entering 8th and 9th grades. Dangle your toes off the dock at Main Camp with a first week to get started, and then wade in deeper for a second week at Adventure Outpost. Enjoy all that camp has to offer, with a focus on discipleship, personal growth and adventure in a more personal setting.

Do you desire to explore areas that have always interested you? Then come and enjoy traditional outdoor activities like fishing and an overnight canoeing trip, but also focus on a specific area of interest where you will acquire a deeper knowledge of and/or certification in one of the following:

Hunters Safety - earn your Hunters Safety certification, knowledge of safe practices when using a fire arm and hands on practical use of the fire arms including experience at the shotgun and rifle ranges.

Rustic Furniture Building - using mortis and tendon and other natural techniques with supplies you find from the woods around Outpost you will create your own woodworking project.

Jewelry Making - come away with the ability to create custom made earrings, necklaces and rings in addition to your own set of tools.

Pottery - spend time learning the basics of working with clay while making your own piece of thrown pottery both at a local pottery shop and in camp with instructors to build on the knowledge that you have obtained.

While taking advantage of the instruction, you will be challenged to take one step further in your understanding of who God is and to develop a deeper relationship with Him.

Northshore Expedition

The Northshore Expedition is a chance to explore the truth of God through His creation and in His word. This unique environment will give you the opportunity to be challenged physically, spiritually and emotionally. Experience a 3 day-2 night backpacking trip, high adventure rock climbing and rappelling, a day exploring one of the many waterfalls that the Northshore has to offer and so much more along the beautiful shores of Lake Superior.
Horsemanship

As a member of the Certified Horsemanship Association we follow their standards and techniques in order to ensure a fun, safe and educational experience.

• Classes are four days, weather permitting.

their riding ability.

Barn & Ring Class - ($87 tax included)
This class offers a spiritually based application of basic horsemanship principles divided into one hour of riding lessons & one hour of classroom/lecture per day, with lots of hands-on experience. Western riding fundamentals, such as position and technique, will be taught to allow the rider to develop control of their horse at each gait.

Trail Class - ($60 tax included)
Designed for the weekend rider, campers are on a horse for approximately 45 min. per day in God’s creation. Some riding instruction is given, such as crossing trail obstacles, controlling your horse at different gaits and basic horse info. All done in a laid-back, fun Fort way!

Rodeo Class - ($87 tax included)
Cowboy Up! This class offers a chance for campers to learn about the fun sport of rodeo. The class is divided into one hour of mounted games and one hour of learning skills needed for rodeo life such as barrel racing skills, roping and much more.

The following pick-up and drop-off schedule is only available for our summer camp programs.

If the drive is too long or your schedule doesn’t allow for you to bring your son or daughter up to the Fort, we offer coach bus or van transportation. Depending on current gas prices, round-trip will be approximately $70-$75 or one-way $40-$45.

All campers must be at the bus stop at the times above. Please allow 15-30 minutes on either side of arrival times due to varying traffic conditions. All bus-riding campers should carry money for two fast food lunch stops. Please label all luggage with name and phone number.
